A DARK AGE

Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Have you noticed that our culture has been walking further and further away from God? Jesus warned that a culture who knew God and turned away will be worse than a culture that never knew Him at all. When we began to take God out of our culture, an empty space was left open for other powers and influences that are not of God.
We have seen this pattern in many cultures before us. After turning away from God, we then see culture become highly sexualized and the covenant of marriage becomes weakened. Today, children are being introduced to sexuality earlier and earlier and even being sexualized to the world. Divorce is rampant, and the marriage covenant is treated flippantly and even shamed.
We know that the Bible tells us that in the last days men will be lovers of themselves, immorality will increase, and believers will be persecuted. So what is our responsibility as believers? First, identify and break any strongholds of the enemy in your life. Are there any areas where he has a foothold? And until the end of the age, we need to seek God’s Word, pray for our nation, neighbors, and Israel, and share the gospel with all who will listen!
