FILLING YOUR MIND

“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” –Acts 20:32

The Word of God is our strength, foundation, and guide. It should be central and present in your daily life – you cannot grow without it! 1 Peter 2:2 instructs us to “desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.” God’s Word builds you up and causes you to grow spiritually.

God’s gift of salvation is not only for eternal life, but for right now! He has a great plan for your life, but if you are not in the Word, you might miss what He is trying to speak to you. In His Word you will find His will, promises, blessings, and guidance.

When you do not fill your mind with God’s Word, the world will fill it for you. And the world will only feed you lies, false promises, and heartache. Joshua 1:8 says, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Your Heavenly Father desires good things for you, and you must seek them out in His Word!
