WE ARE HEALED

“But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

Jesus did not just promise healing, he conquered it for you. He carried that pain and sickness – you do not have to be chained to what is not yours. Many times throughout the gospels we read …and Jesus healed them all… We cannot find one example of when He left someone sick or in pain. Too many people believe that everything that happens is God’s will. But the Bible teaches us that His death and resurrection paid for our sins, iniquities, and by His stripes we are healed!

Romans 5:12 says, Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned… When Adam gave into the enemy, death, sickness, pain, war, prejudice, and every evil thing came into the world. But as a believer, you were given the authority over death, sin, and the enemy. In Mark 16:17-18 Jesus says, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” As you pray for the sick, the Bible says they will recover!

There are examples in Jesus’s ministry when sickness is caused by an evil spirit. That does not mean every illness is a demon, but the Bible teaches us to resist the devil. James 4:7 says, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Death and pain entered with Satan when Adam sinned, but Jesus bought back our authority. In Matthew 8:16 we read, And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick… Through Him, you have power over the devil and his attacks on your body!
