“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” – Acts 10:38
Healing has always been close to the heart of God. From the very beginning, sickness was never part of His design, it entered the world through the fall. But when Jesus walked the earth, He revealed the Father’s true nature: a heart full of compassion, mercy, and restoring power.
When a leper came to Jesus unsure if He was willing to heal, Jesus stretched out His hand and said, “I am willing; be cleansed.” (Mark 1:41). God’s willingness to heal did not end at the cross. In fact, Jesus promised, “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do.” (John 14:12)
The healing authority Jesus carried now belongs to every believer who acts in His name. Yet what we experience depends on our faith in God’s promises. Scripture declares, “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17). At the cross, Jesus paid for both our sins and our sicknesses.
God’s power flows where faith and authority meet. Strengthen your faith by spending time in God’s Word and meditating on His promises. Then, put that faith into action—speak life and healing over your body and others. As Jesus said, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:18).
Remember this: healing is not only what Jesus did—it is who He is. His Spirit lives in you, empowering you to carry His compassion and authority into a hurting world. Rise up in faith, lay hands on the sick, command sickness to leave, and declare healing in Jesus’ name.
