IT'S GOD'S NATURE

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. 
-Psalm 103:2-3

This verse is a powerful reminder that forgiveness and healing are both part of the great benefits we receive through a relationship with God. In other words, God is just as eager to bring healing to our lives as He is to forgive our sins.

Jesus demonstrated God’s will for healing throughout His ministry. In Matthew 8:16-17, it says, “He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.’” Jesus never turned anyone away who came to Him for healing. It didn’t matter who they were, what they had done, or what sickness they faced—Jesus healed them all because it is God’s nature to heal.

People sometimes mistakenly think that sickness is a form of punishment from God, but the Bible shows that is not the case. God doesn’t use sickness or suffering to discipline us. Instead, He is a loving Father who desires our wholeness— spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Jesus never put sickness on anyone—in fact, He did just the opposite. He came to destroy the works of the enemy, which includes sickness and disease.

When you experience sickness, it is important to remember that God’s heart is to see you made whole. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, you have access to His healing power. Just as 1 Peter 2:24 tells us, by His stripes you were healed. This promise shows that healing has already been made available to you, and you receive it by faith, trusting in God’s goodness and love. Seek Him, stand on His promises, knowing that His desire is always to bring restoration and wholeness into your life!
