PROTECTED & EMPOWERED

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. - Ephesians 6:10-11

It is important to always remember that our strength comes from being in the Lord and relying on His power. This isn’t just good advice; it is a timely – and timeless – reminder of where true power comes from.

When the Apostle Paul talked about this, he used a Greek word which means to be filled or clothed with power, much like putting on a set of clothes and becoming comfortable in them. This power isn’t something we generate on our own; it comes from the Holy Spirit. He also reminds us that, as Christians, we are automatically engaged in spiritual warfare. That is why he tells us to “put on the whole armor of God” so that we can stand against the devil’s schemes. This spiritual armor is God’s own power, and when we walk in it, we are equipped to stand firm against anything the enemy throws at us. Without His power, we’re left vulnerable to the trials, temptations, and distractions that life inevitably throws our way.

Just like a soldier would never go into battle without armor, we must not go through life without relying on God’s power. It can be easy to forget that we have this strength available to us, but Paul encourages us to be constantly aware of it. It is available to us every minute of every day, but we must be intentional in using it.

With God’s armor, you are not just protected; you are empowered. Stand firm, knowing His strength fills you. In every trial, remember that His power is your defense, and in Him, you are unmovable!
