EMPOWERED IN JESUS' NAME

The early church centered around three powerful truths: the resurrection of Jesus, His name, and the Kingdom of God. These truths didn’t just shape their doctrine—they defined their lives and practices. They knew Jesus not just as a teacher, but as the risen Son of God, the One who brings life to all who believe. The Resurrection isn’t only about a moment in history; it is the promise of new life for everyone who calls on His name.

The name of Jesus is more than a word; it holds authority. When we believe in His name, we’re invited into a transformative relationship with God. As 1 John 3:23 says, “And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.” In His name, we’re not only loved but empowered to love others. This isn’t a casual or distant love but an active, real, and compassionate love that moves into the brokenness of the world around us.

When we embrace the name of Jesus and begin living in relationship with Him, we enter into the Kingdom of God, and our lives are transformed by His Spirit. This kingdom is not just a future promise but a present reality for all who believe. Romans 14:17 reminds us that “the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” It’s a life filled with His peace, sustained by His righteousness, and overflowing with joy that comes from walking closely with Him.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to live in His name, share His Kingdom, and display His love to those around us. We aren’t just forgiven; we are also empowered to bring hope to others. In every challenge, remember that, in His name, you have His authority, His Spirit is in you, and His Kingdom is at work through you. Be bold in Jesus’ name!
