RESTING IN UNFAILING LOVE

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.  -Ephesians 2:8

God’s faithfulness is a thread woven throughout the Bible, evidenced by His unwavering love and care for His people. From the promise of a Savior in Genesis to the fulfillment of that promise in the New Testament, we see a God who keeps His word. Isaiah proclaimed, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given… And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). This prophecy, fulfilled in Jesus, reminds us that God’s plans are always accomplished in His perfect time.

In our own lives, this truth is a firm foundation. We can trust in the Lord even when circumstances are uncertain or confusing. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are for our good. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. When we release our need to be in control and begin to trust His guidance, we find peace and assurance in His care.

God’s faithfulness also calls us to respond with faith and obedience. Just as He was faithful to fulfill His promise of a Savior, we are called to trust Him with our present and future. His love is constant, His promises unshakable, and His presence ever near. In every season, we can anchor our hearts in the truth of His unchanging character and find strength to walk in His ways.

As you reflect on His faithfulness, remember that His plans for you are good, His promises are true, and His peace is available for every step of your journey. Trust in Him, and rest in His unfailing love.
